About This Site
After working as a professional software developer for 18 years for a number of different corporations in Australia such as BHP and Coles Myer, Tony founded a new company, MKD Software Consulting in the mid 1990s.
The primary objective of this successful publishing and consulting business is to explain technology, especially Web technology, to people, in terms that they readily understand.
To help achieve that objective, Tony's company launched this site, along with an innovative '25 Essential Sites' series of books and resources which his own company publishes.
The first three books in that series are '25 Essential Sites For Mastering the Net'; '25 Essential Sites For Mastering Small Business'; and '25 Essential Sites For Mastering Your Life'.
Two other books of Tony's, published by Pearson Publishing, are the popular and highly acclaimed 'The Australian Guide to the Internet' and 'The Australian Guide to Online Business'.
The '25 Essential Sites' online resources include '25 Essential Sites For Mastering Your Money'; '25 Essential Sites For Mastering Golf'; and '25 Essential Sites For Mastering Your Garden'.
Tony also writes regularly for a diverse number of newspaper and magazine publications around the world. Technical publications that he currently writes for include 'International Developer' magazine and the 'Windows IT Library Newsletter'. In the past he has written for newspapers such as the Melbourne Herald Sun, The Mercury, The Canberra Times, The West Australian, and for seven years, he was the leading tutorial writer for Communiqué, Microsoft's Australian magazine.
In fact, he has contributed to more than forty different publications ranging from those read by small and medium size business owners; every day computer users who want to get the most out of their personal computers and the Internet; academics; software developers; general practitioners; lawyers; accountants; and all sorts of other professionals, including the Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors of large corporations.
Tony's 'Sites to Lookup', which is part of this Web site, has generated an enormous amount of interest.
The feedback that has been received clearly shows that people like regularly accessing an online facility such as that which is well-organised and easy to use.
'Sites to Lookup' contains hundreds and hundreds of links that point to the most popular sites on the Web. It is updated on a daily basis to ensure that its content remains fresh and up-to-date at all times.
Best of all, 'Sites to Lookup' provides both speed and convenience since all the links are gathered together in just the one online location.
Lastly, don't forget to visit the 'Articles' section of this site to read through a comprehensive number of articles on a wide variety of topics.
